It is my pleasure to acknowledge the tremendous accomplishments that have been made to help our country to recover from the devastation of the Tsunami of December 26, 2004. I am honored to have be able to play part in the rebuilding of hundreds of homes.

Through the generosity of the members and friends of the many Buddhist Viharas in the United States: the Houston Buddhist Vihara, the Viharas of the Dharma Vijaya family and other Viharas throughout North America, we have been fortunate to bring many people together to help the survivors of the tsunami.

Under the capable leadership of Ven. Dr.Walpola Piyananda President of Dharma Vijaya Buddhist Vihara, Chief Sanganayaka of America, the venerable monks, Sri Lankan devotees, and our American friends combined their efforts to help. I wish to thank all those who contributed, either with money, or time, or both in these efforts.
